Haley Perry, OD, and Jeffrey Swafford, OD, discuss how they use a daily dashboard of performance metrics to make strategic decisions to grow their respective practices–based on data and not just instinct. They share critical performance numbers with staff to set goals and motivate the entire team to meet them.

Share Performance with Staff, Challenge Them To Meet Goals |

CHECK KEY METRICS. Dashboard management focuses key performance metrics in one place, and where you can review them on a daily basis. When you are focused on numbers, they tend to grow. GIVE STAFF FULL ACCESS. Give staff the ability to use the dashboard system to check their own sales numbers on a daily basis.SET PERSONALIZED GOALS. Give each employee their own goal number in sales to reach to be rewarded with a bonus. |
CATCH PERFORMANCE ISSUES EARLY. Staff can stay abreast of their sales performance to know, before the practice owner needs to speak to them, to improve. KNOWLEDGE LEADS TO IMPROVEMENT. When practice owner and staff are focused on practice performance, competitive drive yields good results. BE PROACTIVE. Don’t wait for a staff performance problem to fester; use your daily dashboard to maintain an improvement dialogue and plan. |
