The Intrepid Eye Society will present the webinar, “Leadership and Culture: How to be a Great Leader by Influencing the Culture Within Your Practice,” on Weds., Sept. 16, 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

The program will be one hour in duration, COPE pending. It will be taught by Josh Johnston, OD, FAAO. “To be a great leader, one must manage staff in an effective manner. Organizational effectiveness is directly tied to the quality of teamwork that occurs in an optometric practice and is influenced by the culture within the organization,” it is noted in the course description.

Dr. Johnston’s clinical areas of interest consist of ocular surface diseases, including dry eye and other corneal diseases. He has extensive experience co-managing surgical patients before and after LASIK, cataract and other advanced corneal and refractive surgical procedures. Dr. Johnston practices medical optometry and renders care for patients with many ocular diseases such as glaucoma, ocular injuries, keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, macular degeneration and other systemic disease related ocular conditions. He is currently the residency director and the clinical director at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta.
