Think About Your Eyes & All About Vision Pair Up to Educate Consumers

National eye health initiative Think About Your Eyes (TAYE) has formed a partnership with All About Vision, bolstering the campaign’s efforts to provide consumers with accurate, up-to-date information about vision health and its impact on overall well-being. The partnership provides content licensing and sharing, enhancing Think About Your Eyes’ ability to educate the public on the importance of annual eye exams and how the industry and consumers can work together to correct poor vision and maintain healthy eyesight.

Launched in 2000 by Access Media Group, AllAboutVision.com is a resource for consumers to learn about all aspects of vision, designed to provide impartial, trustworthy information on eye health and vision correction options. Through the partnership, Think About Your Eyes and its members can utilize content developed by All About Vision’s editorial advisory board of writers, editors and reviewers, who together possess hundreds of years of experience in patient care, research, consulting and eyecare journalism.

All health-related content featured on AllAboutVision.com is written or reviewed by at least one eye doctor. In addition, the site is certified by the Health on the Net Foundation, a non-profit organization that evaluates online health care information for its reliability and usefulness.

“Our goal at All About Vision has always been to serve as a comprehensive, unbiased source of eye health information that helps readers fully understand the myriad products and services that can improve their vision and lives,” says Ron Walker, partner, All About Vision. “Partnering with Think About Your Eyes, an initiative similarly dedicated to improving consumers’ lives by educating them on the importance of adequate eyecare and annual exams, was a natural fit. Together, we can encourage more Americans to take ownership of their eye health and obtain the best possible products and treatments for themselves and their families.”

Think About Your Eyes is a consumer advertising campaign that utilizes television, radio, print, online advertising, public relations and social media to share educational messages on children’s vision, eye strain, eye disease and the importance of annual eye exams in managing eye health. Since the campaign’s launch, eye exams have increased 5 percent, and more than 120 million consumers have viewed the advertisements through the end of 2014.

Through its partnership with All About Vision, the Think About Your Eyes doctor locator will also be added to AllAboutVision.com, where visitors can easily find Think About Your Eyes member physicians.

For further cross-promotion, All About Vision will include advertisements for Think About Your Eyes on their site while All About Vision will be promoted as a Think About Your Eyes’ member and leadership partner in campaign communications.
