The seminar will be held during International Vision Expo West in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Wynn Hotel on Thursday, October 3, from 1-5 pm. This is an opportunity for practices to establish a compliance program during their attendance at VEW.
Why do practices need to attend this seminar?
• Practices are required to establish a compliance program for their practices starting with a Healthcare Risk Assessment.
• In conjunction with that, VSP, Medicare & Medi–Cal are performing mandatory compliance audits/visits due to the Affordable Care Act.
• Practices will incur a $10,000 fine for not having a Healthcare Risk Assessment and other fines for non-compliance could be added on top of the $10,000.
This seminar will show attendees how to comply and protect their practices by having a Healthcare Assessment. With pending CE credit, the seminar also includes a self-audit assessment and $1,000 worth of compliance materials. Practices do not need to be PEN members to attend. All are welcome.
