  • Build a continuum of care focused on positive patient outcomes and supporting vision for life

Pinakin Davey, OD, PhD, FAAO, FARVO, and Haley Perry, OD, will be hosting the session.

Dr. Pinakin Davey is a Professor and Director of Clinical Research at the Western University of Health Sciences. He earned a Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry and a Ph.D. from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, England. His post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Louisville for three years was focused on improving imaging techniques in glaucoma. His research is focused on retinal physiology and glaucoma. He has authored over 75 international publications and has given over 1,000 presentations nationally and internationally. He is a fellow of the ARVO and AAO.

Dr. Haley Perry is the owner of Elite Eye Care in Arden, North Carolina, where she has been providing comprehensive eye care services for over 15 years. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, graduating in 2009. Her journey into eye care was inspired by a personal experience — her father’s optic neuritis due to multiple sclerosis. This early exposure to the impact of eye health on overall well-being led her to start working at an optometrist’s office at the age of 16, solidifying her passion for the field. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Perry serves as the Western North Carolina Administrator for Vision Source and is a trustee for the North Carolina Optometric Society, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field of optometry and contributing to the broader optometry community. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Perry enjoys crafting, volunteering at her children’s school, and spending time with her family. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for her patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
