Set Goals for Optometric Success

Nathan Hayes of Prima Eye Group says that there are many definitions of success in optometric practice. OD-owners, in determining their own notion of success, should begin with their ultimate goals in mind. First order of business is to answer two questions: How much do you want to earn in personal income, and how hard do you want to work? With the answers to those key questions, OD-owners can set goals and strategize on ways to generate revenues enough to meet those goals. Pathways vary, from maximizing revenues on a single practice vs. acquiring multiple locations, or working a full schedule vs. compressing exam hours. By executing a good growth plan and managing your time well, you can achieve a high level of income and enjoy a good work-life balance.
