ZEISS Light 2 progressive lenses are introduced

Nov. 6, 2024

ZEISS Vision Care has launched ZEISS Light 2 lenses, a new progressive lens portfolio built for both first-time and mature progressive lens wearers.

The lenses are designed to feel lightweight and thin for continued comfort. ZEISS Light 2 lenses’ are intended to provide wearers with natural vision at all distances. They are now available to all independent ZEISS eyecare professionals nationwide.

Leveraging more than 175 years of optical precision, ZEISS says its Light 2 Lenses make transitioning to progressive lenses easier than ever before with a design that prioritizes fast adaptation.

In a survey, more than two-thirds of ZEISS Light 2 wearers adapted to the new lenses within a few hours and 94 percent found it easy to switch to ZEISS Light 2 from their previous lens solution1.

Furthermore, ZEISS notes that its signature EasyFocus technology considers the eye’s inclination, the power profile and the binocular vision of the left and right eye to optimize the vision needs of all wearers at all distances.

An optimized near reading zone, available on most Light 2 lenses, is designed to improve the ease of reading on digital devices like smartphones and tablets.

“With the introduction of our ZEISS Light 2 lenses, we’re now able to offer industry-leading, advanced ZEISS technology to consumers at every price point,” said Jens Boy, president of ZEISS Vision Care North America. “Few optical manufacturers have high-quality freeform lenses across all price tiers. This product expansion allows us to serve patients across age ranges and vision needs, providing clear and natural vision for all.”

ZEISS Light 2 progressive lenses are available in three versions—3Dv, 3D and D— and are designed based on the wearer’s visual needs and frames. All versions are available for order in leading Practice Management Systems, as well as ZEISS VISUSTORE, available 24/7 with error-free navigation for faster order processing.
