Upcoming: The Vision Council 2016 Executive Summit

Sept. 16, 2015

The Vision Council has announced the agenda, slate of keynote speakers and the opening of registration for the 2016 Executive Summit, an annual event with executive-level networking, leadership development, economic trend reporting and business strategies. The event will be held Jan. 27 to 29, 2016, at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Fla.

This three-day event is intended to be a resource designed to keep attendees aware of the industry landscape, and to help organizations chart a course for the future, The Vision Council said. Attendees will network with their peers and join leaders in business, research and economics as they engage in conversations about the direction of the industry.

The Executive Summit Program Committee recently made public that the opening keynote for the 2016 Executive Summit will be Jim Collins, who has authored or co-authored six books that have sold in total more than 10 million copies worldwide including “Good to Great,” the #1 bestseller, which examines why some companies and leaders make the leap to superior results.

“We are thrilled to present our attendees with the most sought after leadership guru of our time,” says Mike Hundert, executive Summit Program committee chairman. “Jim is a student and teacher of leadership and what makes great companies tick, and will be a valuable resource for this Executive Summit and the leaders from across the industry who will be joining the event.”

Other highlights of the 2016 Executive Summit agenda include:

• Jonah Berger, author, “Contagious: Why Things Catch On.” He will discuss research-based insights on decision making, consumer behavior, word of mouth and how products and ideas become popular.

• Brian Beaulieu, economist, CEO, ITR Economic. Economic Update: Brian will share quick forecasts for the next few years and the associated “Make Your Move Moments,” as well as discuss the perceptions and habits of Millennials, and the projected outcomes related to the economy.

This year’s event will kick off with The Vision Council’s annual golf tournament on Wednesday of Summit week, and includes an opening night dinner and networking event that Wednesday evening. Thursday night that week will feature the annual Chairman’s Event and After Party.
