New vision screener from Huvitz

Coburn Technologies, a provider of ophthalmic lens processing and exclusive distributor of Huvitz optical diagnostic equipment in the United States, announced the addition of the Huvitz HVS-1 Vision Screener to its catalog of Huvitz product offerings.
HVS-1 is a tool primarily intended for pediatric use, the first of its kind among Coburn’s ophthalmic line of products. Coburn Technologies notes that it performs “rapid vision screening for infants and toddlers in less than a second with high accuracy.” The device is also suitable for senior patients and patients with mobility issues.
Designed to Provide Fast, Accurate Measurements
“We continue to grow our pre-testing and exam lane offerings from Huvitz because the technology consistently demonstrates outstanding performance,” stated Bruno Yun, Senior Product and Application Manager. “For pediatric practices, or practices interested in expanding their patient base to kids, HVS-1 is a worthwhile investment to incorporate fast, accurate measurements of refractive abnormalities like myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia and strabismus,” he said.

Non-Contact, Handheld Device
The HVS-1 Vision Screener is a non-contact, handheld device that is designed to take quick and comfortable refractive measurements. Attractive lights and sounds assist in focusing the patient for precise measurement capture. The patient is viewed through a bright screen with a wide viewing angle where results are displayed after capture. HVS-1 is compatible with the standard DICOM format and test results can be loaded onto a PC.
