Eaglet Eye, a global leader in profilometry-driven specialty lens fitting, has announced a new strategic partnership with OVITZ to bring the xwave aberrometer to the European market. This collaboration marks a major step forward in elevating the precision, predictability and personalization of scleral lens fitting.
For practitioners, the challenge has long been twofold: achieving a stable, rotationally aligned fit and addressing higher-order aberrations (HOAs), optical distortions that cause symptoms such as ghosting, halos, starbursts and reduced clarity in low light. Together, the Eye Surface Profiler (ESP) and the xwave aberrometer provide a unified solution.
The combined workflow delivers full anterior surface profilometry for an exact, centered, rotationally stable lens fit; wavefront-based HOA correction for sharper, more customized optics; and a complete data-driven pathway to fully personalized, wavefront-corrected scleral lenses. These lenses are now available through select European laboratories, enabling practitioners to deliver a new standard of vision quality and comfort.
“With OVITZ xwave now available through Eaglet Eye, European practitioners gain direct access to both profilometry and aberrometry in one place,” said Arnie Snepvangers, CEO of Eaglet Eye. “This partnership reflects our commitment to empowering fitters with the technologies they need to achieve unparalleled consistency and patient outcomes.”
“Since OVITZ xwave became available in the U.S., we’ve seen increasing interest from European practitioners and patients seeking access to our HOA – Correcting solutions,” said Felix Kim, founder of OVITZ. “Our collaboration with Eaglet Eye now enables us to support that growing demand with a unified, data-driven workflow for personalized scleral lens fitting.”
