Warby Parker has introduced Advisor, a new online tool, which the company says “offers customers a way to recreate the brand’s seamless, accessible and fun in-store experience at home.”

Built on Warby Parker’s proprietary AI technology, Advisor is a virtual tool that offers customers shopping guidance and personalized frame recommendations. It is intended to make shopping and exploration easier.

How it Works

  • Advisor integrates Warby Parker’s online and in-person shopping experience. With Advisor, customers can scan their face and see personalized frame recommendations based on facial features (shape, width and nose bridge) and style preferences. The feature will be offered via Warby Parker’s existing iOS app.

  • Warby Parker worked with digital creative agency Kettle to help create Advisor. Together, the brands designed the tool and conceptualized future versions that will further improve how customers discover and interact with Warby Parker’s products.

  • Warby Parker notes that it started as a digitally-focused company but is now known for its omnichannel shopping experience—including over 280 physical retail locations across the U.S. and Canada, its Home Try-On Program and a suite of digital offerings such as its Virtual Vision Test and Virtual Try-On. This new technology marks the latest innovation to merge the in-person and online shopping experience.

An Enhanced Online Experience

“We’re excited to introduce Advisor, our new online tool that leverages proprietary AI to instantly recommend frames based on each shopper’s unique facial features and personal style,” said Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Warby Parker Dave Gilboa. “It’s a completely new way to shop for glasses—and makes the experience convenient, personalized and fun. The early feedback and engagement has been overwhelmingly positive, and we can’t wait for more shoppers to experience Advisor for themselves.”
