Oakley Launches Limited Edition Green Fade Collection

August 17, 2016

Oakley has launched Green Fade, a limited edition hand-painted eyewear collection for athletes.

The company says Green Fade combines Oakley’s ’80’s performance green with 21st century Prizm technology. Designed for athletes, the Oakley Green Fade Collection “unites the world’s best athletes under the color of innovation and performance,” Oakley says.

The Green Fade Collection includes performance styles EVZero, Jawbreaker, Radar EV Path, Flak 2.0 XL and RadarLock Path, as well as Frogskins lifestyle frames.

Hand-painted inside Oakley’s Foothill Ranch headquarters, this limited edition collection is “your opportunity to own a piece of history,” the company says. The green used throughout the line was featured on Oakley’s first performance product in 1980.

In addition, the collection’s sun styles are equipped with Prizm, a lens technology that enhances contrast and visibility over a wide range of light conditions.

The EVZero style featuring Prizm Field lenses combines Oakley’s lightest sport performance frame with the unobstructed view of a rimless Plutonite toric shield that offers an extended range of view in the upper-peripheral region. The EVZero is built for speed and engineered to be a multi-sport sunglass for training, running and beyond, the company says.
