The Optometric Minute

Use Advanced Technology to Provide Patients with the Best

Nov. 29, 2017

Eric White, OD, of Complete Family Vision Care Optometry in San Diego, cites the OCT as the leading technology-based game changer in his time as an optometrist. Dr. White uses the OCT  in every comprehensive exam, explaining: “I want my patients to say they had the best eye exam possible.” He adds that seeing OCT results from each patient raises his own comfort level in spotting any potential condition. Dr. White cites digital eye strain as the biggest challenge today and a vast treatment opportunity for optometrists to claim.

USE ADVANCED DIAGNOSTIC TECHNOLOGY. Use an OCT in every exam. Scan every patient’s macula and optic nerve to spot any eye disease in the earliest stages.

PROVIDE HIGH-TECH SPECTACLE LENSES. Use the latest in spectacle lens technology to protect patients’ eyes from harmful blue light, and to minimize digital eye fatigue syndrome.

PRESCRIBE THE BEST CONTACT LENSES. Prescribe contact lenses made of the most advanced materials to enable greater comfort, reduce dropouts and protect the eyes from harm.
