IDOC announced the agendas for its three 2014 IDOC University Regional Conferences to be held this fall. “We are thrilled once again to bring the high standard of education for which IDOC has become known to the optometric market,” says Mark Feder, OD, CEO of IDOC. “Our members benefit from our conferences, but we also believe our education can help all independent ODs.” Therefore, all conferences hosted by IDOC, including the IDOC University Regional Conferences, are open to all independent ODs and their staff. An IDOC membership is not required.
IDOC took member feedback from its 2014 Annual Optometric Business Conference into consideration when developing the agendas for its IDOC University Regional Conferences.
Attendees can select their choice of two morning sessions from a total of four presentations. The specific presentations will vary per each location, but every regional conference will cover issues that optometrists are facing today. Conference attendees will hear from industry experts on surviving and thriving in today’s managed care environment, strategies in building a multi-million dollar practice, social media/digital marketing, co-management of glaucoma surgery and building an excellent staff with guidance for training and staff motivation. Free CE credits will be associated with every session.
The popular Best-Practices Discussions at the 2014 Annual Optometric Business Conference return for the afternoons of the regional conferences. These small collaborative groups are led by trained facilitators. Doctors will break into groups with their colleagues to discuss their challenges and solutions, as well as best practice ideas.
An exclusive, select number of IDOC vendors will offer show specials at the regional conferences, one-day events held either on a Saturday or Sunday. IDOC members and their staff and first-time non-member conference attendees who register two weeks prior to the event can receive a full refund on their registration once they attend the regional conference.
