In fact, ODs, on average, report a 32 percent excess capacity and say they could see an additional 19.8 patients each week. “There are more demands being put upon eyecare,” Dr. Brooks notes. “With health care reform, more children have vision care, and adults are gaining coverage for medical eyecare.
